Square Peg Round Hole X Buying Fireworks in Indiana

Hello, happy thursday, I just dropped new music.

I remixed my favorite song by one of my favorite bands. Full transparency, I was a massive Square Peg Round Hole fan before I met the boys in real life. Although these fellas have become some of my closest friends, although I've now played in bands with all of them, after all this time I'm still floored by what they are capable of, and I'm genuinely grateful to finally sneak into the SPRH universe.

Also, I'm back on the internet.

We're halfway through 2026, somehow.

When shit hits the fan, I turn to making music, I always have and it seems I always will. Amidst chaos, I tend to make songs.

This leaves us with two true things. True thing #1: I have made a lot of music this year with a lot of people. True thing #2: I have not used social media very much, because, outside of music making, shit has been hitting the fan from a lot of directions. When real life things get brutal, at least for me, vertical shortform micro-niche song promotion, that benefits the problematic tech platforms more than it does my music, really, let's say, loses it's charm.

Personal challenges aside, there's the "social media" of it all.

I started this project firmly committed to "fighting the good fight" as an artist posting their work on social media. However, I seem to have made that commitment on the eve of the AI slopocalypse, and I'm still trying to figure out how to honor my commitment without feeling like I'm pissing droplets of passion into an ocean of garbage.

I'm still committed, but the thing I'm committed to is evolving, so too must I! Yeehaw!

More on this soon. It involves putting my hands on music in more analog formats. Thanks for your patience. No spoilers but I'm learning how to do a very hard, very cool, very analog, very non-AI thing, and I think you'll dig it. In fact, you subscribed to THIS newsletter, so I know you'll dig it.
